Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Who is eligible to attend?
A: YCNL is for junior high and high school students, and young adults to age 30. All other registrants must be leaders or chaperones. Children are not permitted.
Q: How do I register?
A: Most registrations are completed online. If you are unable to register online, a registration form is available for download. You may complete the form and forward it to the YCNL office with payment. Cheques should be made payable to YC Newfoundland & Labrador.
Q: Can I register without a group?
A: Yes, individual registrations are accepted. However, all youth under 18 must attend with a chaperone or under the supervision of a youth group. For groups, we strongly suggest a minimum ratio of 1 leader for every 7 youth.
Q: What does registration include?
A: Registration includes entrance to all YCNL sessions, workshops, concerts, and activities. Registrants will receive an event bracelet as their pass for the weekend. Bracelets must be worn at all times in order to gain access to the venue(s). Registration does not include accommodations, transportation, or meals.
Q. Can I register for a portion of YCNL? (i.e. a concert, a main session).
A: No, YCNL is designed as a closed conference as opposed to an evening rally or festival. All participants must register in full.
Q: Do youth leaders & chaperones pay the full price registration fee?
A: Yes. All who attend are required to register in full. This helps keep the cost lower for students. We are confident that youth leaders and chaperones will also benefit from the weekend.
Q. Where do I pick up my registration bracelet?
A: All bracelets must be picked up at the Paradise Double Ice Complex on Friday between 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Please note that bracelets are no longer mailed out in advance. If you are registered with a group, only designated group leaders are permitted to pick up bracelets.
