YCNL places great value on giving back to the community, teaching youth the importance of global citizenship, and giving them opportunities to serve. Some of our past community projects have included an annual food drive, youth and community centre support, supporting the work of Labrador leaders and two YC Labrador conference, assisting with the launch of Newfoundland & Labrador’s future Atlantic Hope Women’s Centre, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, partnering, serving, and ministering to the community of Lilongwe to bring YC to Malawi, and fundraising to build the YCNL House in the Village of Hope and support its residents with food, clothing, school and medical supplies for four years.
2016 Missions Project
At our 2016 Conference we were excited to take up an offering to provide clean drinking water in Cambodia. This offering was done in partnership with The Life Campaign and ERDO. In total, everyone who gave at our conference raised over $13,000 towards this project! For every $210 a household can have clean drinking water.
